In order to get access to US market in Luminor Investor:

1. Complete W-8BEN form

Completed W-8BEN form allows Luminor to claim a US tax reduction for you on your dividends and interest from US. Withholding tax rates can be reduced from 30% to 15%. W-8BEN form is valid for three calendar years. Price for the service is USD 35 or EUR 30 (you can choose the currency).

Fill in W-8BEN form:

Send completed W-8BEN form to investorLT@luminorgroup.com mailbox. In the email indicate the currency in which you would like to pay for the service (USD 35 or EUR 30) and the account from which the fee shall be deducted (Luminor Investor account or banking account).

After submitting W-8BEN form, US market is activated within one week.

2. Submit an application for additional currencies in Luminor Investor

After logging into the Internet Bank in the Applications section select the document group Saving and Investment and fill the Application form for Non-standard request related to investments. Specify the currency you want to trade on the platform. If you plan to invest only in the US market (besides the usual trading in euros), specify USD currency. If other currencies are relevant, you can specify them here.

3. Open USD account

After logging into the Internet Bank in the Applications section select the document group Accounts and fill the Application form Open USD account. Specify that the account in US dollars is required for investing in Luminor Investor.

If you wish to invest in currencies other than EUR or USD in the future, you will need to open bank accounts in additional currencies. The account number will stay the same, only the currency will be different. In Internet Bank, in the Accounts / Cards section, on the left menu block select Account in new currency. Select the currencies you wish to invest in.
