Luminor is unifying its GBT in all three Baltic countries. The GBT of Luminor Bank AS Lithuanian Branch will change starting from 1 September 2020 and will apply to all Luminor Bank AS Lithuanian Branch customers, products and services.

The GBT regulate the main aspects of relations between the bank and its customers and set general rights and obligations of the customer and the bank related to performance of any agreement or transaction with the bank.

The most significant changes of the GBT

  • Included certain provisions for the issuance of covered bonds, including the disclosure of banking secrecy.
  • Taking into account the regulatory framework of the European Union, the procedure for changing the reference rate (reference interest rate, benchmark) has been established.
  • The rules for concluding distance contracts are clarified, the procedure for handling complaints, as well as the rules for communication with the bank.
  • An agreement on the use of electronic signatures in the bank-customer relationship is envisaged.
  • Clarified requirements for customer due diligence, compliance with international and national sanctions.

If you agree to the amendments, further action is not necessary – the new GBT will simply apply to your agreement(s) as of 1 September 2020. If you do not agree to the amendments, you have the right to terminate the agreement(s) you have entered into with the bank free of charge by 31 August 2020.
