DNB Bankas launches an advertising campaign with the world's movie star G. Clooney: "Some people are lucky in life. For the rest of us, saving up is smart!“

Today AB DNB Bankas, a member of the Norway's largest financial group, begins regular savings marketing campaign with George Clooney as the lead actor. It is the first ever marketing campaign in Lithuania that will use the global celebrity in its commercial to deliver this message.

In a lively TV ad one of the world's most desirable bachelors on the wedding morning gives to his beloved not only a royal diamond ring, but also speaking in the Lithuanian language invites her to spend honeymoon in a wonderful house just bought at the Lithuanian seaside. 

“To start saving is like start exercising – many know that they should have to but often find a good excuse not to at the very beginning. We believe that with the economy's recovery, decreasing unemployment rate and real wages rising now is the right time to start saving – and more importantly to do that on a regular basis,” – said DNB Sales Management Department Manager Lijana Žmoginaitė.

In Norway DNB TV ad with G. Clooney became soon a Youtube-hit with close to 1 million views in just a few weeks. Today more than 4.5 million have seen it on Youtube. Clooney's DNB TV ad won several of prizes: Epica 2012 Gold, Eurobest 2012 Silver, Cannes 2012 Shortlist. DNB Clooney ad won the annual audience award for the best ad shown on Norwegian TV.
