Global Finance has named Nordea one of the world's TOP 50 safest banks
2016-10-04
The respectable financial magazine “Global Finance” has included Nordea in its list of the 50 safest banks in the world. This year Nordea takes 29th place among the TOP 50 safest banks in the world, and maintains a stable 15th place in the category “World's TOP 50 safest commercial banks” compared to 2015.
According to the 25th annual ranking of the World’s 50 Safest Banks Europe still dominates the whole ranking, despite Brexit and the turbulent economic environment in the continent. Winners of the TOP 50 were selected through an evaluation of long-term foreign currency ratings – from Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch – and total assets of the 500 largest banks worldwide. The list was announced at the beginning of September 2016, but it will be published in the November 2016 issue.
“Global Finance” is an international monthly magazine that was established in 1987. Each year “Global Finance” announces the world’s best companies working in the financial sector. These awards have become an acknowledged and reliable standard of excellence.
