Starting from April 1, 2016 there will be payment limitations for code card users

On 1st of April, 2016, the decision regarding new requirements for security of internet payments issued by the Board of the Bank of Lithuania will come into effect. Customers, who still use laminated paper code cards, will not be able to confirm payments exceeding 30 EUR after that date. If you still use code cards, please do not hesitate to order, activate and start using the new Nordea authentication tools.

Nordea recommends to use the free mobile code generator app Nordea Codes which fully replaces the physical token. It is a special application for smart devices which customers can use to login to Online Banking and confirm their transactions. This app is a simpler and more convenient equivalent to the code generator and can be used on most of the smart devices.

If you need the Nordea Codes app, please download it from the app store on your mobile device and activate it by filling in the token order form within the Nordea Internet Bank.

If you decide not to use the app, we offer a new type of a physical token, which can be ordered within the Nordea Internet Bank and delivered right to the address indicated by the customer.

• If you are using Nordea code card, the token order form is displayed when you log into your Internet Bank.
• If you are using the old type of token or mobile ID, please select “Settings” in the main menu on the Internet Bank and then choose “Token order” in the menu on the left.

Please follow the instructions provided on the Internet Bank page. After you successfully completed all the activation steps, the app will display a notification that now it is ready to use.
