Changes in the Nordea MasterCard cards’ travel insurance terms and conditions

The Nordea credit card travel travel insurance terms and conditions will change as of 1 August 2015 (MasterCard Platinum, Nordea Gold, MasterCard Xameleon, PINS MasterCard and MasterCard Business).
The following new benefits are added:
Cameras are included as covered luggage in case of Theft or Accidental Damage to Luggage.
In case of Delay of Departure, and waiting time of more than 4 hours, a minimum benefit of EUR 30 is payable. If the expenses incurred from necessary purchase during the delay are greater than EUR 30, these expenses may be covered up to the full sum insured, with the original receipts for the expenses.
In case of Luggage Delay, and waiting time of more than 4 hours, a minimum benefit of EUR 30 is payable. If the expenses incurred from necessary purchase during the waiting time for the luggage to be delivered are greater than EUR 30, those expenses may be covered up to the full sum insured, with the original receipts for the expenses.
Please notice that a document confirming the delay and the duration and reason thereof, issued by the airline or travel agency, is always required.
After the change, the following deductibles will be applied:
A deductible of 50 euros will be applied to the Treatment Expenses for Travel Illness and Travel Accidents (with the exception of MasterCard Platinum cards).
A deductible of 50 euros will be applied to the Trip Cancellation cover.
Please notice, the deductibles are applied per insured event and per insured person.
Rental Vehicle Excess Waiver is added to MasterCard Platinum cards: The insurance covers the deductible the insured may be liable to pay, in case of material damage to the vehicle rented during the trip. The Rental Vehicle Excess Waiver is only valid, when the rental fee is 100% paid with the insured person’s Nordea Platinum credit card. The sum insured is EUR 5 000 maximum, and a deductible of EUR 100 is applied to each insurance event.
The Purchase Protection insurance for the Nordea MasterCard Platinum cards’ (insurance number 119-5337) is extended, with the cover valid up to 180 days from the date of purchase for a purchase made on 1 August 2015, or thereafter.
The insurance terms and conditions valid at the time an event of damage occurs will be applied.
