Nordea Bank Lietuva Expands the Networks of Its Branches

The area of the Customer Service Branch located at Didžioji street of the capital increased from 247 sq. m. to 389 sq. m. and now it employs 21 specialists. A new branch of the bank opened its door in Žvėrynas district, Vilnius. It will employ 9 people. A branch located at Laisvės Alley in Kaunas occupies 241 sq. m. area and it will employ 15 people. A new branch with 320 sq. m. area in Klaipėda is going to employ 17 people. Currently 6 branches of Nordea Bank Lietuva operate in Vilnius, 3 in Klaipėda and 2 in Kaunas. One branch operates in Panevėžys.

"Nordea very successfully implements a selected business model, when daily operations are made via the Internet and decisions on management of family finances are taken at the bank with assistance of a personal consultant. It is understandable that the existing network of branches was too narrow for new customers, who select direct communication with the bank, flows. In addition, we have recently offered several new credit, saving and investment instruments, therefore, our desire is that they would be available for wider customer circles," says Jaunius Marinskas, Head of Retail Banking of Nordea Bank Lietuva.

Currently Nordea has over 50,000 customers in Lithuania. Nordea Bank Lietuva earned LTL 6.624 million profit during the first three months of this year. Bank assets increased by 62.7 per cent to LTL 3.653, compared to the same period last year.
