New authentication tools to replace old type code calculators and code cards when using Nordea electronic channels as of 1 April 2017
2017-03-30
To enhance the security of the services provided and to simplify their use, old type code calculators or code cards will no longer be valid for authentication when using Nordea's electronic channels as of 1 April 2017. The Nordea Codes app and a new type code calculator will replace the old solutions. You can order both tools online. Once you log in to your Netbank account, select Settings -> Nordea Codes app / code calculator ordering.
Nordea has been offering its Netbank users an opportunity to shift from the current paper code cards to the new generation ID solutions, such as the Nordea Codes app or the new type code calculator, since 22 February 2016 in Lithuania and 24 September 2016 in Estonia and Latvia.
About new generation authentication solutions:
The Nordea Codes app remains a free alternative for all our customers. The mobile app functions on Android, iOS or Windows Mobile smart devices. The Nordea Codes app works even when the mobile data connection is switched off or unavailable for any reason.
The new type code calculator looks similar to the old type code calculator but it is easier and safer to use. The customers using the old type code calculators are invited to exchange them for new type code calculators or the Nordea Codes app at any Nordea customer service branch or using Nordea Netbank. All other customers will be charged EUR 8 per code calculator.
Customers can further use their mobile-ID to log in to Nordea electronic channels.
As the transformation process is coming to an end, we kindly recommend exchanging your old type code cards and code calculators for new generation authentication solutions as soon as possible using Nordea Netbank.
