Every year Nordea provides support to projects reflecting Nordea's values and supported direction, i.e children's education, scientific progress and public education. During 2015, the bank's financial support helped to implement a number of great projects.
Nordea‘s support allowed the "Child Line" ("Vaikų linija") to prepare 13 new volunteers. They are going to significantly increase the “Child Line“ ability to respond to the calls and letters of children and teenagers. It is estimated that if these volunteers successfully implement their commitments, the new team of volunteers will respond to 42 thousands of calls, as well as reply to 900 letters received from children and teenagers.
M.Rostropovich Charity and Support Fund granted scholarships for talented children on the funds received. Musically gifted children received extra lessons, professional instruments, took part in competitions abroad where they proclaimed our country and won prises.
Due to the funding the Charity and Support Fund "Educate Children" ("Švieskime vaikus“) published a number of books for children. The books went to Lithuanian libraries, schools and kindergartens.
Vilnius University Hospital Santariškių Klinikos used the funding to improve the condition of the facilities and to purchase the required medical equipment.
Continuing the meaningful tradition, at the end of the year Nordea will once again grant these organizations the Christmas support so that they can create big and small miracles.
